Ninjas...they were a special type of infiltration team employed in Japan, normally for the purpose of spying and sometimes assassination. In modern day the image of a ninja is used as a popular cult-icon for Japan. The techniques of a ninja are still used today to train, but the luck of running into a real ninja is very rare. You're more likely to see them in movies than in real life.
