Case 31: Turnabout Movie

[Kay opens her eyes, apparently having drifted off in a daydream for a minute while she was waiting for Yamamoto to pick her up for their big date.  But when she comes to, she isn't on the front porch of her house at all - she's in a car.  At a drive-in.  With... Lucas?  Okay, not so bad, but it's certainly not the steamy date at Makeout Point with her boyfriend that she's been fussing about all week long.  She's got her purse with her, but is suddenly wearing the ridiculous 50s fashions of the town instead of her usual skirt and boots.]

"Aw, geez!  Seriously, Mayfield?  It had to be tonight, of all nights?"

[She sighs, trying to open the car door and getting nowhere fast.]

[Lucas hands the box back, pondering about 'minty tingle' and 'like not wearing anything' in the back of his mind.]

Are you OK, Kay? You look a little red. It's kinda hot, isn't it?

"Uh! Y-yeah, it's hot in here with the windows up! That's it!"

[Grabs the box back and shoves it far down into her purse. She then just sort of sits there, hands folded awkwardly in her lap, staring down.]

[There are some crinkly noises coming from Lucas's side of the car. A few moments later, she will feel a breeze from a paper fan. Like literally. A sheet of paper folded into a fan.]

[Turns to Lucas and smiles, chuckling a little.]

"Thanks, Lucas. You're really thoughtful."

It's nothing. Thank you for trying to make me feel better and stuff.

[Lucas continues to fan slowly but his attention returns to the screen.]

So it just sucks people up like that? Why don't they eat their way out?

It's the only harmful PSI I can use. I guess PK Flash is harmful, too, but . . . it's a little different.

I think so, too. It's, um. Really powerful, though. I'm not even too sure what happens when I use it.

It's kinda blue. There are a lot of colors and a lot of . . . hexagonal shapes. And then things go 'aaaaaaaaahhh' and they stop trying to kill me.
