Well, Tsuna said I could be the Assistant Rain Guardian. And he's the boss, so I figured whatever he says counts, right?

I talked to Reborn a little bit. He said I'm out on a technicality, since Tsuna's not actually the boss yet and he just made up a position that doesn't exist for me.

It's because of Mukuro. The reason I joined up with you guys is because it seemed like you were more interested in protecting people than... y'know. The usual mafia type stuff. But Mukuro pretty much came right out and told the whole town that he kidnaps, tortures, and kills people for fun. So I did some thinking, and I don't think I really want to be involved with an organization that has guys like Mukuro around. I think my father would be really disappointed in me.

Mukuro's, well...he's different. I mean, he's technically a member of the Family, yeah, but. The things he does aren't the same things we do. He was our enemy once, you know. Now it's just...a weird alliance, I guess.

Yeah, I know. But we're not here to kill people. Sure, we've gotten into our fair share of fights, but we do what we have to in order to protect the people we love and care about.

But you don't have to be a part of it if you don't want to be. It's not something we can force you into doing.

...It just doesn't feel right, after knowing that someone like Mukuro is part of it. Y'know? I... sorta feel like my dad and Mr. Edgeworth would be disappointed in me.

The problem is...and if you've talked to Reborn...the situation with Mukuro is very...weird. You see, in our world, he's in a high security prison and won't be let out.

[ a long pause again, because tsuna knows the real reason he's there, and it's why tsuna feels bad for mukuro.]

Chrome is kind of a medium, usually, for Mukuro. She's our Mist Guardian, along with Mukuro.

Mukuro hates the mafia in general. He was part of some family who did experiments on kids...or something. The Vongola is the biggest family in Italy, so he wants to destroy them first.

[ pausing again he looks a little awkward, even if you can't see it ]

I beat him once...in a fight. He was sent to prison but escaped with his friends. However...he uh. Let his two friends go ahead and stayed behind so they could escape.

I know, but during the fight we were in for the Vongola rings, Mukuro's illusions made me sensitive to seeing certain things I wasn't supposed to. I...don't really understand it. But that's what I saw, with my intuition.

I know how he is, and how he can be. I'm sorry if he's caused you problems, but the best thing to do is avoid him. I'll watch him as best as I can....

Well, he hasn't really done anything to me personally. He's actually been pretty friendly. But I don't feel safe around him after all this stuff he's been doing recently, y'know? And I don't want to be officially considering myself part of you guys' mafia group if actual murderers are part of it. There's personal reasons for that. But if we can still be friends, I'd really like that.
